Bergerac Blanc Sec 2016
Fresh, fruity white in the style of white Bordeaux, 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon, the wine is bottled without oak-ageing and so has immediately recognisable aromas of gooseberry. wet grass and some citrus, all of which are backed up on the palate. It's a well-balanced wine with a satisfting mouth-feel (13% abv), followed by a smooth finish. Great as an aperitif, ideal with fish and first courses, a good all-rounder.

The Dubard family are family vignerons based at Chateau Laulerie in St Meard de Gurcon in the Dordogneidepartemen. They produce a range of wines from various vineyards which they own rangong from dry white through rose and clairette to red wines in the Bordeaux style. Indeed one of their top wines is Clos des Grands Moines from lalande de Pomerol.
The philosophy of the family is to produce modern wines which respect the traditions of the area. Chemical intervention is kept to a minimum in the vineyards and yields are relatively restiricted. The grapes grown over the estates are those familiar to fans of Bordeaux: Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec..
