Rich, medium-full bodied red made from 100% Merlot grapes. Bottled without oak-ageing the wine has a deep purple colour with attractive aromas of damsons, plums and other black fruit. it has a full texture (14%abv) and a smooth mouth-feel, followed by a harmonious finish. .

The Dubard family are family vignerons based at Chateau Laulerie in St Meard de Gurcon in the Dordogneidepartemen. They produce a range of wines from various vineyards which they own rangong from dry white through rose and clairette to red wines in the Bordeaux style. Indeed one of their top wines is Clos des Grands Moines from lalande de Pomerol.
The philosophy of the family is to produce modern wines which respect the traditions of the area. Chemical intervention is kept to a minimum in the vineyards and yields are relatively restiricted. The grapes grown over the estates are those familiar to fans of Bordeaux: Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec..
