The vineyards are spread over two areas of the denomination of origin Ribeiro: San Andrés in Ribadavia and Sadurnín in Cenlle, between them a total of approximately 7 hectares. Taking into account the nature of the land, composition, humidity, orientation of the sun, etc. The producer, Emilio, selects the plots best suited for each variety,  He combines the tradition of craftsmanship inherited from generation to generation with the latest winemaking technologies.
Ribeiro DO is a Denominación de Origen located in the north west of the province of Ourense in Galicia, (the bit of North Western Spain which sits above Portugal). The region consists of extremely steep valleys formed by the rivers Mino, Arnoia, Avia and Barbantino. The dramatic vineyards are often cut into terraces known as “socalcos” or “bocarribeiras” that follow the contours of the hills. Well-protected from sub-Atlantic storms, Ribeiro enjoys an Oceanic-Mediterranean climate with a decent amount of rainfall and mild temperatures which allows the grapes to fully ripen whilst preserving their aroma and freshness. Some writers have dubbed the Ribeiro region as a distinctive and representative portfolio of modern Galician terroir-driven wines.
