Niersteiner Rehbach (Reh = deer, bach = creek), Rheinhessen / Germany. Rehbach is one of the best vineyard sites in Nierstein, combining the Grand Cru vineyards of Pettenthal and Hipping. Located in sight of the Rhein river with Southeasterly exposure. Elegant and classical Riesling scent, paired with aromas of tropical fruits. Green apples and citrus, pineapple and melon.Excellent balance of sweetness and acidity. Classic gourmet-dinner-wine. Best with fish, white meat, poultry or mild cheese.

The growing of grapes and making of fine wines has been a part of this well known Rheinhessen family since 1648. Today Louis Konstantin Guntrum continues to build on the achievements of the previous ten generations and is producing some of the area's finest Rieslings from the twelve or so hectares he has under vine. The Guntrum cellars lie between the villages of Nierstein and Oppenheim in one of the most stunning locations beside the great river Rhine and house some exceptionally old, carved barrels.
