The first wine from this week's selection uses an odd blend of grape varieties – you wouldn't expect muscat, verdejo, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay, each of which have distinct personalities, to come together so well. But they do here, with each contributing something to the end result – florality, exotic fruits, orange zest and pin-sharp freshness.

Riesling’s perfume and charm has an uncanny ability to pair with fragrant Asian dishes. This is one of the best sub-£10 versions from anywhere. Tasting Notes Spanish grape varieties Verdejo and Muscat have been blended with French grape varieties, Sauvignon and Chardonnay making a fresh, dry and floral white wine.

Method of Production The grapes are picked into small boxes to avoid damaging the fruit. A cool fermentation takes place over two weeks. 1/3 of the wine is fermented in new oak barrels and it is matured on its lees for two months in stainless steel tanks .
