Wine Maker
Method of Production Caol Ila sources its water from a peaty loch just over a mile away from the distillery. Its stills are large by malt whisky standards, with a distinctive lantern shape which produces a unique and slightly oily new-fill spirit. Maturation took place in the Caol Ila`s own original Victorian warehouse, the last surviving remnant of the distillery built in 1846.
