Our Opinion Ch des Annereaux is owned by the Milhades family who are known for their devotion to producing fine wine and for the viticultural restoration of historical Bordeaux estates. It is said that Ch des Annereaux is their crowning achievement. Which, no doubt, is why Decanter has written that this property is “an essential discovery for any Claret lover.”

Tasting Notes Aromas of spice, leather and chocolate combined with berry fruit carry through to the palate. Silky tannins and lush fruit provide depth and many layers of flavour in the wine. It is supple, fruity and easy to drink. It has a long, lingering finish.

Wine Maker

Method of Production Situated on the plateau near Lalande in the heart of the appellation, gravel and clay soils favour Merlot, with the addition of Cabernet Franc. Traditional vinification takes place. The grapes are handpicked, followed by a long maceration. The wine is aged in small oak barrels, of which 35-50% are new each year.
