This is aTraditional Chateauneuf du Pape, produced using organic farming methods - one of our favourites.

Our Opinion You can't get much more authentic than this Chateauneuf.

Tasting Notes Rich aromas of stewed fruit, caramel and warm leather are on the nose followed buy hints of thyme. The palate is full of fruits macerated in alcohol with a touch of game and a long finish with a dash of pepper.

Wine Maker

Method of Production The vineyard is in the heart of the Southern Rhone, and the soil is pebbly red clay with very large stones. Organic farming methods and lutte raisonee are used in the vineyard. The wine is aged in giant old oak foudres (barrels) until it needs to be bottled. These foudres are topped up as the wine evaporates. This oxidation is part of the wine maturation process, imparting an authentic and gamey style to the wine.
