Dom Perignan 2002 shows how truly delicate a champagne can be.

Our Opinion Dom Perignan was the first presitge cuvée to be introduced and the first vintage made was in 1921, which was released for sale in 1936. 2002 is an exceptionally fine vintage and has been awarded 20/20 by Jancis Robinson.

Tasting Notes With 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir in the blend, this is a very expressive wine. It has a silky smooth mouth feel. On the nose there are aromas of preserved lemons and dried fruits which are rounded off by darker smoky and toasty characteristics. In the mouth it is concentrated yet creamy with fruit flavours. It is rich, deep, balanced and elegant with a hint of underlying bitterness. The bubbles are well integrated and there is a wonderful long finish.

Wine Maker

Method of Production Traditional Méthode Champenoise. This year there was a warm dry spring with no frost. The weather before the harvest was a perfect and the vines were in good health.
