Our Opinion Fleurie Grille-Midi is produced at Chateau Raousset, in the heart of Chiroubles, 400 metres above sea level on poor granite soil. Chateau Raousset has vineyards in Fleurie and Morgon as well, and has established an excellent reputation for consistency.

Tasting Notes The Fleurie Grille-Midi shows all the finesse one would expect of a wine from this appellation. It is vibrant purple in colour, beautifully fruity with aromas and flavours of strawberries, raspberries and cherries.

Method of Production The grapes are harvested manually to ensure optimal quality and once sorted they are placed in stainless steel vats where semi carbonic maceration takes place. Over the following 8-12 days the run-off juice is pumped over the cap. The juice is then pumped into vats allowing the extraction of maximum flavour, aromas and tannins. The wine is then matured in old oak tuns before being bottled the following spring.
