Light, fresh and floral, this is a delightful Gavi from Piedmont in northern Italy.

Our Opinion Cortese, which is the native grape of Alessandria in Piedmont tends to perform best in the hills between Novi and Tortona in Piedmont. The grape has been so successful in Gavi, that it is known locally as Cortese di Gavi.

Tasting Notes Fresh floral aromas carry through to the palate. The wine is clean with a pleasant after taste of toasted almonds and hints of apple and sage.

Method of Production The Gavi La Fornace vineyards are situated in Tassarolo, Piedmont, northern Italy, and comprise just five hectares, only one of which is in use.
