A Montepulciano made with modern winemaking methods in an historic and traditional vineyard.

Our Opinion The Frentana Winery in Rocca San Giovanni was one of the first wine growers cooperatives in Abruzzo, founded in the 1950’s. Modern wine making methods have been introduced whilst at the same time preserving local traditions to produce a wholesome and natural product.

Tasting Notes The wine is dark and full-bodied with a big mouthful of prunes, plums, dark cherries and a dry peppery-spicy finish to act as a balance. Persistent and lingering finish.

Method of Production Once picked, the grapes are carefully selected, and fermentation is carried out in temperature controlled tanks. The wine is matured for up to 6 months in an inox tank.
