"A better definition of a red blend you would struggle to find - 80% Cabernet Sauvignon with 8% Syrah, 6% Merlot, 4% Carmenere and 2% Cabernet Franc produces a roasted Mediterranean aroma, mostly of roasted peppers with oregano. Very inviting indeed. Good balance of this pepper character and fleshy red fruits on the palate and soft, easy-going tannins, thanks to a gentle 18 months in French oak."

Our Opinion The label artwork was created by renowned Chilean artist Benjamin Lira, who took his inspiration from the word Pargua, meaning “full moon” in the Mapuche language. Like the artwork, which will change with every vintage, Pargua’s wines are vibrant, expressive, and harmonious.
Tasting Notes "A dark and intense purple garnet colour, deep and brilliant. The nose shows its organic origins, expressing leather, underbrush and earthy notes. Then rises the fruit, ripe but brilliant and intense; black cherries, plums and blackcurrant melted with sweet spices and mocha. A candied minty floral note adorns the whole ensemble.The palate reflects perfectly the nose, the fruit rushes forward immediately. The concentration is expressed with power and balance but preserving elegance. Fine and firm tannins offer even more density to the texture, structuring as well a long finish that still needs time to harmonize itself. For now expresses the commencement of its complexity with floral, spicy notes, dried fruits wrapped in an autumn symphony. "

At his Maipo Valley vineyard, Lacaze grows grapes sustainably and organically, uses the best fruit, ages the wine in individually selected barrels, and blends the juice at just the right time. 38% Carmenere, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 6% Syrah.
