Wine Maker
Method of Production Blue Agave is the plant used to make Tequila. It is a cactus like member of the lily family, with a succulent heart. Once harvested and split the Agave hearts, or pinas, are shredded and warmed in water to release their flavours. They are never boiled, to ensure gentle extraction of the fresh Agave flavours. The cooked liquid is fermented with a yeast strain taken from the Agave plant, and then double distilled to produce Tequila.
