With its seaweedy, smoky character, Talisker is the only single malt from the Isle of Skye.

Our Opinion Talisker is the only single malt from the Isle of Skye and is an excellent example of the seaweedy flavours found in Islay malts.

Tasting Notes Deep gold in colour, it is full bodied, well balanced and round. On the palate it is robust with a smooth balance of smoke, salt, spices and wood. It has a lond deep finish with pepper, peat and salt to finish.

Method of Production The water used to make Talisker comes from a local stream, and is mixed with ground, malted barley. This wash is fermented, then double diltilled in pot stills, and the resultant spirit is then aged for 10 years in old Bourbon and Sherry casks. It is diluted to 45.8% abv before bottling.
