Opulent single-quinta vintage port from the ancient estate of Terra Feita.
Our Opinion Along with Quinta de Vargellas, Terra Feita produce single-quinta port in years when the overall quality of the harvest is not quite good enough to warrant a vintage declaration. When vintages are 'declared' these two quintas provide the backbone of Taylor's vintage port blends.
Tasting Notes Powerful aromas of red and black berried fruit mix with spice, leather, orange peel and a hint of chocolate. The palate is rich and intense with a warm, fruit-filled finish.

Method of Production The estate of Terra Feita consists of an amphitheatre of terraced vineyards planted on the western slopes of the Pinhao River; its 58 hectares produce roughly 287 pipes of port a year. The must was fortified with grape spirit prior to pressing into oak barrels, then the young port was aged in 'pipes' (wooden barrels) for two years before bottling.
