Chardonnay

Chardonnay is the grape from which White Burgundy is made.  However, it is a very adaptable grape, and is cultivated all over the world, in most soils and most climates.  It is dry and fresh in style, and marries well with oak.  It has flavours and aromas ranging from green apple, pears, butter, honey and biscuits to those of yellow and tropical fruits, peaches, butterscotch and honey when grown in a warmer climate.
