Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc is the grape behind Loire Valley whites, such as Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, where it is dry, crisp, with good acidity, and has flavours of grass, nettles and green peppers.  In New Zealand,  Sauvignon Blanc tends to be brilliant, pungent, and green, with intense and pure flavours of gooseberries, citrus and tropical fruits. Two styles, but the same grape.
