An attractive balance of berry fruit, hints of liquorice and citrus notes, this is a very delicate rosé champagne, pale salmon with hints of orange in colour. To be savoured by itself or paired with seafood starters e.g. dressed crab or prawns.

Ruinart, founded in 1729, claims to be the oldest champagne house and owns a high percentage of its own vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and Cote des Blancs areas. Now part of the Moet Hennessy group, the house is nevertheless managed on independent lines, as are Krug and Dom Perignon. Quality & fidelity to the house style are the aims rather than volume per se. The origin of the Ruinart rose style goes back to 1764 and is today made with Chardonnay, which bring freshness, elegance and finesse to the wine, while the Pinot Noir brings a delicate fruitiness (red fruits) and flavours of slightly exotic fruits.
