The Albury Estate is one of the few vineyards in the  UK to have Biodynamic status  in addition to the organic certification. The vines are grown on predominantly south-facing slopes in the Surrey Hills area. The estate specialises in sparkling wines made in the classic method so the majority of the vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunièr and Chardonnay together with some Seyval Blanc. This special cuvee is made from100% Seyval Blanc grapes grown in the 2018 vintage.

Made from ripe Seyval Blanc grapes grown in the 2018 vintage, the wine was fermented using wild yeasts found on the estate. Only 600 bottles of this very special cuvee were produced in total, so the wine is something of a collector’s item. The wine is light in texture(11.5%) but has a delicate blend of fruit flavours together with hints of brioche and toast. The wine has already enjoyed some 5 years ageing in tank then bottle so it already has a pleasing complexity which will increase further with further careful storage.
