Rich. violet/ purple in colour, the rim is now showing increasing signs of crimson on the edge.This is clearly a medium bodied wine, although it has a reasonably rich texture (13%). The nose is a blend of red and black fruits ranging from redcurrants to damson. There are also hints of earthiness (sousbois inFrench) with some vanillin from the oak ageing. The palate matches what is evident on the nose, although there is also a pleasing harmonious quality to the finish with soft tannins evident.M
