The name Grignolino has its probable origin from the Asti dialect term "grignòle", that is, grape seeds, being the berries of this variety particularly rich.

The vineyards are located in Agliano Terme.

THE BUNCH AND THE BERRY

The Grignolino vine has a compact, medium and pyramidal elongated bunch, sometimes winged with one or two wings.

The berry is medium small, skin of variegated color and not evenly distributed, from red, to pink, to purple and even to green.
