Teeling sold the distillery in 2012 and set up the fantastic Teeling Distillery in Dublin, check out their whiskies if you haven’t done so already.

O Cathain 8 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey is aged in some carefully selected, finest ex-Bourbon barrels, where it is aged for 8 years. Chill-filtered and bottled at 40%. The colour is natural, no caramel colouring added.

The whisky is named after the Ó Catháins who were widely known as the warrior clan of Ulster. On May 14th 1260, this warrior clan, were defeated at the Battle of Down by the mighty Normans. No less than 15 Ó Catháin chiefs lost their lives in
the battle. True victory however, lies with the descendants, now known as O’Kane, who have selected and bottled this fine Irish Whiskey to commemorate their ancestors. The label is decorated with a scene depicting the Battle of Down.
