Add To Your WishlistSalino Blanco 2019 Malvasia
Salino is winemakers Andres and Marta’s personal project to bring back to their land one of the oldest local varieties that was a risk of extinction, the Malvasia. The name Salino, meaning saline or salty) comes from the amount of salt found in the soil where the vines grow, which is a determining factor in the style of the wine.
Straw yellow in colour with shiny green hues. Complex, fruity and fresh on the nose with hints of white stone fruit. Some floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom. Subtle herbaceous notes such as fennel and aniseed give the wine freshness. Smooth and expressive on the palate both fresh and floral. Solid mouth-feel and well integrated acidity make this an extremely well balanced wine. There is a lingering aftertaste with a pronounced saltiness from the salty soil, that deliciously invites the next sip.
