Bodegas Zinio is situated at Urunuela in the Rioja Alta, 23 kms from the regional capital Logrono sub-district, where the Tempranillo grape grows in almost perfect conditions. They own 450 hectares in three major zones, subdivided into 22 different soil types. This variety of soils grape varieties mean that they make a wide range of wines including white Rioja (made using the local Viura grape), rosado and various levels of Rioja tinto (red) ranging from the unoaked wines (joven) to the Reserva level.  Tempranillo blanco, unique to Rioja, and Garnacha Tintorea are also grown on the Zinio vineyards.
