The Montlong estate is located in the heart of the prestigious Monbazillac vineyard, clinging to the northern flank of the hillside overlooking the Dordogne, on the commune of Pomport south of Bergerac.
This estate has been owned by the Lambert family for more than two centuries. It currently has 58 hectares of vines including 15 hectares of red shepherdac AOC and 43 hectares of monbazillac and dry or fluffy shepherdac.
The clay-limestone soil gives Montlong wines subtle aromas: dacacia honey, over-mury peach, apricot kernel, exotic fruits, toasted hazelnuts...
The harvest for monbazillac is done by hand following tradition; successive sorting allows the mushroom "botrytis cinerea" to do its work to enhance the cluster.
The fermentation and aging of the wines are carried out with great attention and attention. Temperatures are thermo-regulated for all wines in order to preserve the initial aromas. For several years, part of the harvest has been raised in new barrels.
All wines are bottled at the estate and are marketed largely at the property.
