Silver medal at the 2004 International Spirit Challenge in London, the VSOP Baron de Sigognac is a Bas Armagnac grown on sandy soils in the heart of the Bas Armagnac where one finds Domaine de Bordeneuve. Spending six months in new oak followed by a seven year period in old oak, it gives us noble flavours and is very pleasant on the palate. It is as an after dinner drink that the Baron de Sigognac presents its full range of aromas, though it is equally at home in cocktails or in recipes : Crèpes flambées à l’Armagnac are a delight that gourmets particularly appreciate… The Baron de Sigognac VSOP is a Bas Armagnac older than 7 years, which is why it is sometimes sold under the label 7 years old.
