Red Hot Rhythm Jazz Revival
Between 1987 and 1992, three members of The Red Hot Rhythm Revival toured the world playing 1920s & 30s jazz, playing over 100 gigs together and forging a close musical bond. Then, in 1992, following a tour of New Zealand, they went their separate ways.
At a reunion dinner in 2022 however, the idea was floated to reform. Just three of the originals were available and able - piano, banjo and drums, the heart of the legendary original rhythm section. Thankfully one of their sons was a talented alto player and a nephew a multi-instrumentalist happy on bass, and the Red Hot Rhythm Revival was born. Two years and ten gigs later, the Revival is coming to Kingston.
