The 2016 Chateau Lamothe-Bergeron has impressive freshness and vitality on the nose: bouyant black fruit mixed with tobacco and graphite. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, harmonious in the mouth with good depth, a lot of new oak on the finish but that should be subsumed by the time this is in bottle.
