Founded after the last war by André Thomas, Gérard took over the 12 hectares of vines in 1982. He is supported by his daughters, Anne and Isabelle at their small estate at Saint Aubin, immediately behind Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet. Saint Aubin offers some of the best value in the Côte de Beaune; aromatic, oaky wines in the same style as their better known neighbours with great freshness and good balancing acidity. Here the Champ Tirant has good oak intergration, fresh minerality and a long finish.
